Invoice

Definition

An invoice is the document the seller gives the buyer to show what is sold, the price, the VAT and the amount due. A sales invoice is one your company issues. In Estonia it must show certain details, such as the numbers and the parties' registry codes.

Example. An invoice for consulting of €800 plus €192 VAT, a total of €992, due in 14 days, is a sales invoice.

Why it matters for your company

The invoice is the source of your sales and of your output VAT. It must carry the details the law requires, so a missing field can cost your customer a VAT deduction.

Where you see it in Sapita

In the sales section, where you create, send and track each invoice.
