VAT class
Definition
A VAT class is the code on each invoice or purchase line that sets its VAT rate and the line of the VAT return where the amount goes. You choose the class for each line, and Sapita works out the VAT.
Example. A sales line with the standard class adds 24% VAT, and the same amount appears in the output VAT line of the VAT return.
Why it matters for your company
The VAT class decides the rate and where the amount lands in the KMD. A wrong class gives a wrong return, even when the invoice looks right.
Where you see it in Sapita
On each sales and purchase line, and in the VAT class list in the settings.
