Payable
Definition
A payable is an amount the company owes a supplier for goods or services it has received. It is a liability until the company pays. Payables are shown with their due dates so you can plan the payments.
Example. A purchase invoice for €240 with a due date of 14 days from receipt is a payable of €240 until it is paid.
Why it matters for your company
Unpaid supplier bills are payables. Seeing them in one list stops you paying twice or forgetting a bill before its due date.
Where you see it in Sapita
In the purchase invoices list and on the balance sheet, under liabilities.
