EUR 0.00
Total
EUR 0.00

How this is worked out

  1. Line net. Quantity times unit price, rounded half up to the cent, once.
  2. Line VAT. The net of the line times its VAT rate, rounded half up to the cent, once.
  3. Totals. The sums of the line nets, the line VAT and the line totals. Each VAT rate has its own row.

The rate follows the issue date. Until an issue date is entered the totals wait, so no VAT is guessed.

An invoice for an Estonian company

An invoice shows who sells, who buys, what was sold, when, and how to pay. A company that is registered for VAT also shows its VAT number and the VAT on each line. The checklist here follows the fields that a company must check each time it issues an invoice.

Keep the invoice number in one sequence. A cancelled invoice keeps its number and is corrected with a credit note, so the sequence stays complete.

Questions

Do I need an account to make the invoice?
No. The template runs in your browser, and the PDF is made on your own computer. Sapita does not receive what you type. Sapita can number your invoices for you once you sign up.
What happens if a legal field is missing?
The checklist shows a warning for each missing field. The PDF still downloads, with a dash where the field should be, so you can fill it in before you send the invoice.
Why does the invoice number need to be in one sequence?
A company uses one sequence of numbers for all its sales invoices, with no gaps, so that every invoice can be traced. Use the next number in your sequence, and do not reuse one.
Which VAT rate goes on each line?
Choose the rate for what the line sells. The standard rate is 24% from 1 July 2025 and 22% before that date, and it is chosen by the issue date. Check the rate for each product before you choose it.

Sapita is software and education, not accounting or tax advice. Check the official rules before you file.
